You will be working as Finance Intern, at global grade 16 will be the part of Process Automation business area for BA Function Finance division based in Longmeadow, South Africa. In this role you will be reporting to ARIC Demand Manager and will be responsible to help management achieve their risk management and internal controls objectives by actively supporting management in shaping the next level of internal control, risk management, governance and assurance within the business operations

Your responsibilities

• Understand and analyze business processes, including business process documentation, e.g. process flows, narrative descriptions, guidelines / instructions, procedures and policies
• Understand financial reporting related risks and internal controls
• Engage with the business and control owners to conduct testing and monitoring of controls to determine operating effectiveness and ensure there is adequate evidence to support control execution in accordance with the control design and requirements
• Performing quality reviews on control evidence and documentation to ensure high quality control execution
• Document your work, your findings and recommendations in a clear and structured manner
• Provide feedback to control owners and performers on the areas that need improvement
• Discuss any identified issues with the process/control owners and obtain action plans for remediation
• Escalating and managing compliance issues where required

Your background

• Degree in Finance, Accounting, Internal Audit, Business Engineering, or Risk Management
• Minimum 1 - 3 years of experiecne in ERP systems, preferably SAP, experience in MS office tools to document your work, report writing skills and audit or internal control related areas
• Experience in Data Analysis will be an advantage
• Fluency in English language is mandatory
